In Fríða's shop hangs a carved bed board that once belonged to her grandmother, decorated with an acanthus pattern. For centuries, Icelandic craftsmen have carved this soft, organic ornament into wood, and it adorns many of our most beautiful historical artifacts, from bed boards and farmhouse doors to needlework boxes and church treasures.

In the Acanthus Collection, Fríða brings this woodcarving tradition into silver and 14-karat gold. Curving lines, leaves and intertwining branches give the metal an organic and elegant character.
